Known as the business centre of the Hampshire county, Southampton is awash with HQs and offices of a variety of domestic and international firms. Due to the fastly-developing and robust economy, favourable business climate, a large population of students and young researchers, as well as impeccable geographical location close to the capital and other cities - Southampton has long supported a coworking culture.
Nowadays, the shared office spaces are available in the central part of Southampton and beyond its limits. Neighbourhoods like Ocean Village, St Mary’s, Portswood, etc. also offer shared office facilities to the innovative minds. Much of the coworking activity takes place in Southampton Science and Business Park. This ample commercial development is placed on the University campus and serves the needs primarily of scientific and R&D sectors. This trend offers great foundations and incubators to get the ideas off the ground and make them turn into real projects.
