Brighton is a seaside resort city in the UK. Located only one hour south of London by train, it is a popular destination for day trips among both, locals and tourists. Arcades and Regency-era houses envelop its wide and picturesque beach. The town is most known for its vibrant and diverse nightlife, creative scene, shopping and without no doubt, festivals. The city is comfortably situated near London, and its popularity is increasing among art, media and music creatives who would rather live outside the capital. This is the reason why sometimes people call Brighton the "London-by-the-Sea." The bohemian atmosphere plays the central role in Brighton which has long been the capital of decadence and hedonism in Britain, and therefore, often referred to as the gay center of Britain. It has two well-known universities, the University of Sussex and the University of Brighton.
