Liverpool is a city in the United Kingdom that is well-known all around the world. The city was founded in the 13th century and throughout years became a cultural centre not only in England but in whole Europe. For example - all members of The Beatles were born in Liverpool and started their way in show business here. Also, it is known for an outstanding football club that is named in honour of the city - FC Liverpool. There were hard years for Liverpool after World War II, even more than on other territories of the United Kingdom. Half of the population did not come back from the war and those who stayed in Liverpool - started moving to bigger cities. So, the economy of Liverpool now is still in the process of growing. Since the city is pretty comfortable and affordable for a living - a lot of youth nowadays are choosing to move here. That's why the media production (especially video games production) and IT are the primary industries. Tourism takes second place since Liverpool is filled with museums and historical sites and also located on the bay. That is why so many companies, well-known the same as new ones, are founding their offices here.
